After looking at the website for the Melanoma International Foundation, it is clear that a lot of work has been put into this venture. They have organized many programs and services to help educate people on the dangers of skin cancer. They have also organized a Safe for Sun Walkathon. They are on the right track with making people aware. They just need to get themselves out there. The article says that a group of woman from this organization are going to Wawa's to collect money to benefit this cause. To help them make more money they need more publicity. If they were able to get on the local news to announce what Wawa they would be at and when, this would definitely help their cause. They could also pass out flyer's or pamphlets to let people know what they stand for and to help increase their donations. They also need to make more people aware of their website. It is a very nice organized web site. If they could get a small advertisement on a larger website. This would also boost awareness and help them to raise money.

So, one of Barack Obama's top advisors called Hillary Clinton a "monster". If you read the article that describes the incident (link is below), the monster comment is the way the Obama camp really feels about Hillary. The article goes on to explain how the Obama camp was upset about the loses in both Texas and Ohio blah blah blah. The advisor did quit the campaign over the comment. This is not good PR for Obama, or his campaign. But good old Hillary did not let the comment get her down and handled is with class. Good Pr for Hillary, bad Pr for Obama.

So, Nicole Richie and her boyfriend and baby daddy Joel Madden have started a foundation to help underprivileged children. (see link above) This organization is appropriately titled The Richie Madden Foundation, and its main purpose is to provide general and program grants to non-profit organizations in the U.S. They focus on health care, education, and human rights.

Well, I have to say bravo Nicole Richie. This is a great positive PR move. After Nicole and Joel had realized they were pregnant they started this organization. This looks great for Nicole especially in a PR perspective. She was a PR persons nightmare before that baby. Being arrested for drugs, alcohol, and driving the wrong way down the freeway, just to name a few. It was hard for Nicole to put forth a positive image before, but now she is on her way.

In my search for articles I had found nothing but positive remarks and well wishes. The Couple even through a surprise baby shower for a group of less fortunate mothers and their children. They gave the mothers baby supplies and had some great photo ops. They even sold baby pics to a certain magazine publication with all proceeds will go to their foundation. So, thumbs up Nicole Richie for turning your image from a serious negative to a positive!

Below are some links to the articles that I have found regarding the foundation. The Foundation link is located under the photo above.

Britney is back in the news.....(not that she ever left!)

So... Britney is back in the hospital again. This time she is being put under psychiatric evaulation. She has been ordered by a judge to stay in the hospital for an extended period of time. I feel bad for whom ever is Britney's PR rep. This past 2 years must have been a PR nightmare. Although, I have to say with everything that has and is going on with her, they are handling this very well. If I was her PR rep, I would have jumped ship a long time ago. But, we can't forget all of the money that is made just by Britney being Britney. When she wakes up in the morning money is made. Maybe that's why people stick around. As I am writing this blog I realize that wait a minute..... Does Britney still have a PR rep. I have not read any statements that have been from her Rep only gossip and hearsay. Maybe they did decide to get out while they could. Well, this will probably be the only blog on Britney Spears because I am sick of hearing about it. Leave the poor girl alone. All of the attention is obvisioulsy not making anything better. So with that I am signing off on Britney. And if her PR Rep is out there somewhere...Stay Strong and try to get that positive spin on everything you can!!
